Objectification

Objectification is a kink or BDSM dynamic that aims to make a person feel like an object instead of a person. This kind of play could include psychological elements like degradation, as well as physical elements like bondage. People being objectified will lose themselves in the role they have been given. The reduction of function can be perceived as pleasant or calming as it takes them away from their regular life. It can also be degrading to be (consensually) "used" instead of actively having a choice or participating. For the person objectifying another person, they might enjoy the sense of power over another person's being. Taking their "will" away and controlling their being can create a sense of dominance over the other person.
