Shaving

In kink, shaving can be an activity or fetish that involves one partner removing hair from the other's body, often from areas like the head, face, or pubic area, as part of a power exchange dynamic. This act can symbolize submission, vulnerability, or transformation, and may be incorporated into scenes involving dominance and submission, or humiliation play. It can also be a type of service where the s-type is shaving the D-type's hair or beard. This can be done as an act of servitude and, usually, to show their skill with the razor. It is a type of hair removal. ### Why Are People Into Shaving? For some people, the sensations of shaving turn them on. For others, it's the visual aspect, or the implications of surrendering to the person holding the sharp blade. The focus can be on the body part being shaved, on the dynamic, or on the tools being used. In the case of service, the shaving takes on a form of service and worship to the D-type's body, while the D-type gets the same shaving benefits as from a professional shave as well as the intimacy of being served by their s-type, and the trust they place in the s-type, particularly if they are using a straight razor. ### Shaving As a Form of Roleplay Shaving can also be practiced as role play. Female face shaving, for example, is a special role play in which "shaving" may be done with shaving cream, a cape, and a barber's chair - but a fake razor. This simulates the experience of shaving - and the dynamic between shaver and shavee - without actual hair removal. ### Shaving As Gender Play Or Affirmation Shaving facial hair and sometimes body hair is often done in various types of feminizing play. This can involve self-shaving, or the shaving of another person. This is frequently used for gender affirmation or gender euphoria of a feminine bottom/shavee, or for the headspace of someone being force feminized. Less common, but also for the purposes of gender affirmation or gender euphoria, AFAB people will occasionally shave their face or have their face shaved in order to remove the fine hairs that grow on estrogenized skin. This is done to make their complexion appear more masculine.
