Rough Body Play

Rough body play is similar to play fighting but differs in that the top and the bottom tend to have more of a power exchange dynamic as the bottom will not actively work against this play happening or try to direct it, instead behaving more like a recipient to the activity. The top will move and control the bottom using their strength and physical force, sometimes referred to as manhandling, though the top and bottom in this activity can be of any gender. Often connected to primal roles, common applications include punching, kicking, holds, breath play, hair pulling and other forms of generally rough activities. It is sometimes also combined with rope bondage or other forms of play where the bottom tends to be moved around and controlled by the top. This kind of play can also include sexual activity. Note that careful negotiation and consent are especially important with any rough play.
