Event Organizer

An event organizer is an unofficial role taken by any person who plans, coordinates, and manages kink or fetish events. These events could be parties, munches, educational events, or just about anything that would be considered an event in the kink community, whether online or in person. As a general role in kink, being an event organizer does not require any specific person, gender, or role, but rather the ability and desire to hold the responsibility for creating and/or helping to run community events. This can come with a great deal of responsibility, such as having to locate (and sometimes fund or even host) the event space, handling staffing (if any is required), being a contact for people with questions, dealing with payments, and handling issues that may come up before, during, or sometimes even after the events. While events generally have one specific person or organization who is handling the creation of the event information and/or advertising, oftentimes there are many other people behind the scenes or face-forward who are helping out. These people may or may not have the event organizer role as well; the majority will not, unless their main place on FetLife is handling those things.
