Devotee

The term devotee is recognized as a sexual and/or emotional attraction toward people with disabilities, often focusing on specific physical characteristics such as amputations or the use of mobility aids. On FetLife, the term devotee is also used to refer to someone who is into worship or service-oriented submission. This newer use of the term is unrelated to the definition above. While many devotees behave respectfully towards the individuals they are attracted to and seek genuine connection rather than indulging in a mere fetish, some have brought disrepute to the community, such as through stalking or sharing photos and videos without consent. Although these individuals do not represent the community as a whole, exercising discretion is advised. While some people see this interest as a kink, others view devoteeism merely a preference. And, while some disabled people are offended or creeped out by devotees, others don't mind at all, or even see it as an advantage.
