Berrisexual

Berrisexual describes someone who experiences attraction to people of all genders, but whose attraction to men or masculine-aligned genders is rare, weak, or noticeably less intense than their attraction to women, feminine-aligned genders, and/or non-binary people. It functions similarly to terms like pansexual or omnisexual, but includes an important distinction: the attraction is not equal across genders. Specifically, attraction toward men tends to be lower than attraction toward others. ### Origins of the Term Berrisexual is a relatively new microlabel that appears to have emerged within queer and LGBTQIA+ community spaces online, particularly Tumblr and fandom-style wikis. Unlike older terms like bisexual or pansexual, berrisexual does not have a formally documented historical origin or single known creator. It developed organically through community language, personal identification, and shared tagging across digital queer spaces. Microlabels like this are often created so people can describe something more precise than the current terminology allows. Because it is community-driven rather than academically defined, usage and exact wording may vary.
