Straight

Straight usually describes someone who experiences romantic and/or sexual attraction exclusively or primarily to people of the opposite binary gender. This is also called "heterosexual." "Heterosexual" may feel less personal or humanizing, which is why most people use “straight” in social spaces (like FetLife or on dating apps). “Straight” is often used alongside other labels (e.g., straight and kinky, straight and poly, straight but curious) to reflect a more nuanced identity. Non-binary people may also describe themselves as "straight" in some contexts, such as if they are in a relationship that appears to be heterosexual to outsiders. They may also use it to simplify their orientation for people who are unfamiliar with more nuanced terms.
