Backshot

Backshot is a slang term for being penetrated from behind, usually by a penis. This most often refers to anal sex, although it can also mean "doggie style" vaginal sex. This is often referred to in a noun format: "Taking a backshot." "Yeah, I gave my girl a backshot last night." Backshot wind or backshot air is another term used as well. It refers to the occasional blast of flatulence or sometimes just silent expulsion of gas that some people have a habit of emitting from a doggie-style position. While harmless, it still can be an issue for some people, especially people with gastrological issues. Fortunately, for most, simply accepting that human bodies make funny sounds and smells is the best relief for the situation. In the vanilla world, the term "backshot" more often refers to a stylistic photo or film shot taken from behind the person being photographed. ### Origins of the Term “Backshot” originally comes from Jamaican dancehall and African American slang, where “back shots” meant rear-entry sex. As the term spread outside those communities, especially into mainstream social media and TikTok, people began interpreting it more literally: “back” meaning the butt and “shot” meaning a thrust. That shift, combined with how porn sites started tagging anal content as “backshot,” pushed the word toward meaning anal sex specifically. So on TikTok today, when people say “backshot,” they’re usually referring to anal, even though the term started as general behind-style sex slang long before it took on that newer meaning.
