Androx

Androx is a non-binary gender identity that is situated between male and androgyne, meaning it is not fully binary but has some connection to masculinity. It exists on a spectrum, can lean more towards male or androgyne, or be equidistant between them. Androx is considered the masculine counterpart to the feminine-leaning gynx gender. Androx is a neogender, which means it falls between being male and female without being either one. ### Origins of the Term Androx is one of many community-created neogenders—labels for gender identities that grew out of LGBTQIA+ spaces online, especially Tumblr and MOGAI (Marginalized Orientations, Gender Alignments, and Intersex) glossaries. The umbrella word neogender was coined in 2019 on Tumblr and became more widely used around 2020.
