One of the core principles of BDSM as an opposite to Dominance. The S in BDSM stands for submission as well as sadomasochism. A form of mental/role play where the person submits to the other party. The role most commonly associated with this is submissive, but more roles can include forms of submission to the partner(s) of this type of play.
