Psychrocism

Psychrocism is a rare sexual interest where people feel aroused by cold sensation, either by being cold themselves or by seeing others in the cold. It’s related to temperature play, a type of BDSM sensation play that uses heat or cold to heighten physical awareness. ### Origins of the Term The word psychrocism comes from the Greek root “psychros," which means "cold." Dr. Mark Griffiths, a British psychologist and researcher, may have coined the term on his blog in 2012.
