Polyplatonic

Polyplatonic is the practice of having multiple, committed, non-romantic relationships at the same time. These are not casual friendships, but deeply emotionally intimate and meaningful connections that are intentionally structured and nurtured. This term is a cornerstone of relational anarchy, which rejects the hierarchy that places romantic partnerships above all others. For a polyplatonic person, these non-romantic bonds - such as queerplatonic partnerships, friendships, or care networks - are just as significant and valuable as romantic ones, and they are not considered "secondary." Being polyplatonic is a direct challenge to amatonormativity, the assumption that romantic love is the most important type of relationship.
