Doll

A doll is a (mostly) submissive role in BDSM used to describe a person who enjoys objectification and wants to be transformed through one's own and/or outside forces into a living doll. Usually paired with a Dollmaker. ### Why People Are Into It Dolls enjoy being dressed, groomed, played with, and physically manipulated by their partner like a living doll. This process of transforming someone into a doll is called "dollification". These changes can be mental or physical. They are often, but not always, achieved through domination using humiliation, objectification, degradation, and/or dehumanization. Dolls derive both sexual and mental fulfillment from the connection they make with their Dollmaker through being cared for, created to physical "perfection", and getting placed into scenes they imagine. ### Ways to Play Dollification usually occurs in the context of a power exchange relationship. Most often, the Dollmaker is the Dominant of the submissive doll, manipulating the doll to their satisfaction. Dominant Dollmakers tend to utilize more force than a Toy-Maker through a reconstruction process that removes the sense of dignity from a human being and diminishes their self/bodily-awareness. Sometimes the doll can be the Dominant player instead, instructing their submissive makers to use their artistic skills to bring them to perfection. Transformation of a doll can include permanent, semi-permanent and non-permanent alteration to the doll's physical appearance, including: - Cosmetic procedures such as implants and rhinoplasty - (Semi-)permanent makeup, lip and cheek fillers - Outfit changes such as costumes or latex suits - Makeup application - Liquid latex being used to coat the body A doll's mind may also be altered with the use of hypnosis, or with (consensual) operant and/or classical conditioning. Doll play can involve playing with the doll while they hold the position they’re placed in until moved. The doll may also aim to be quiet and minimize breath sounds, regardless of how their body is being played with.
