Crew

The term crew may be used to describe a group of people who have formed close bonds based on similar outlooks, interests, vibes, etc. The term is also sometimes more specifically used to identify members of an organization that operates on FetLife to organize or host events. Similar terms include: circle, fellowship, chosen family (house), tribe, team In a kinky sailing context, crew may also be used to refer to anyone serving aboard a boat under a Captain, contributing to operations or events. Importantly, crew does not have to be experienced sailors; many join without boating skills, drawn by adventure, kink dynamics, or simply the thrill of the sea. They might be novices learning on the job or kinksters focused on service rather than navigation. Some crew members also serve in other capacities such as a chef, maid, yoga instructor or even a barber! Some just enjoy being a bow ornament, and that is OK too! Because someone is listed as crew, it does not mean they are in any kind of a kink or romantic relationship with the Captain or other crew members.
