Age Regressor

An age regressor is usually a person who engages in age regression or identifies as a non-sexual little. This is not typically a kink or part of age play. The age regressor uses their little space as a coping mechanism. They still benefit from having a Caregiver who is also non sexual. Age regression can be a voluntary act or a non voluntary act depending on the person’s surroundings, and whether this has been induced as a result of a stressful environment. It can also be a coping mechanism to help with their mental health. Lots of age regressors use regression as a coping mechanism for trauma responses. They tend to have hard limits around most sexual contact and dark age play when they have entered their age regressive state. The definition of age regression can be controversial, especially when used in kink contexts, because it overlaps with psychological meanings that carry very different ethical and emotional connotations. In psychology, age regression is an involuntary state tied to trauma, stress, or dissociation, which are often seen in people processing painful experiences or seeking emotional safety. Many therapists and kink educators argue that using the same label can blur the line between therapeutic coping and kink.
